The Dutch inventor who dropped out of engineering school at 18 to clean the world’s oceans has now removed more than 50 million kilograms of plastic, is targeting 30 of the world’s dirtiest cities by 2030, and believes clean oceans are achievable within a decade for less than $1 billion.
