I know several people who did this and everyone said I would never cut into the tattoo. They are all proud and deserve it. I never heard from artists they don’t tattoo scared skin cause I myself am tattooed around the waist and over scars from an accident (from drain tubes into my belly) and my tattoo artist immediately said this would not be a problem. This happened over 15 years ago and it never was one.
