This reminds me of something I did as a small child of probably 3 or 4 nearly 70 years ago. My father and I lived with my Aunt & Uncle who had a pair of pekingese. I was left at home with a housekeeper while they and my father ran the store. The two dogs, Ching and Trey (sp?) were allowed to run free in the semi rural neighborhood in the outskirts of Lakewood, Colorado. One day I followed along with them and after a while lost them. Not knowing where I was I was very frighted. Someone noticed me and called the sheriff. The officer who responded knew my aunt and uncle and brought me home. My bottom must have been red for a week for” running away from home”.
