A beloved general store was on the verge of closing amid a worker shortage — until customers stepped in to help
“Sometimes it takes sort of a crisis, if you will, to appreciate what you have,” said store owner Dan Fraser.

A UPS driver left a kind message for a family. They put it on Instagram, and strangers showered the driver’s baby with gifts.
“They just have been coming in abundance — mostly from strangers,” UPS driver Dallen Harrell said of the gifts.
