Can’t say I’m a huge fan of salad greens, but the technology to make this happen and the problems being solved are pretty cool.
Francis Zuber was skiing the backcountry area of a Washington mountain when he saw something red out of the corner of his eye. When he looked closer, he saw a board wiggling in the air above the snow and realized it belonged to a snowboarder trapped head first in a tree well.

“It’s a weird duo, but it works for them,” said Jennifer Federico, director of animal services at the Wake County Animal Center. “Who are we to judge? They obviously love each other.”
