Organizations like American Humane work to help dogs like Rick retire with military men and women they already know. People like Cubbage promise to give the military dogs the hero’s retirement they deserve.

Never underestimate the infinite capacity of the human spirit, human action, and the private sector to rise up to any challenge, to any Category 4 or 5 Hurricane, with compassion, kind-heartedness and a selfless, charitable response that brings out the best of the American people.
Includes a lengthy list of individuals and companies just doing the right thing. A list that, generally, doesn’t make the news, and yet is something I still claim is much more commonplace than we realize.
The FDA just approved the substance, more clinically known as MDMA, as a ‘breakthrough’ drug—and will work to move it through clinical trials as efficiently as possible.

I know that some may see this as a publicity stunt. Honestly, even if it is (and I think not), for $10 million they’re welcome to it. Mobile providers play a key roll in disaster response, and this is just icing on the cake. Makes me even happier to be a Verizon Wireless customer.
